What is Iga Nephropahty

Iga nephropathy is the most common primary glomerular disease which is featured with Iga or Iga deposition on glomerular mesangial region, with other immunoglobin staying or not.

Iga nephropathy can be divided into several types, including focal stage lesion, capillary proliferative lesion, mesangial proliferative lesion, crescent lesion, and sclerosing lesion.

Its clinical symptoms are:① repeated gross hematuria or hematuria under microscope ②different albuminuria degree; ③some patients suffer swelling and back pain. With development of Iga nephropathy, many patients get serious hypertension and renal insufficiency.

Iga nephropathy incidence rate is higher than other illness, especially among male adolescent. As we all know, Iga nephropathy is difficult to be found at early stage, and it develop slowly. So many patients missed the best treatment opportunity. It already comes to the middle or end stage when they feel discomfort.

If they can take proper treatment at the beginning, they may get a satisfied result. Here we appeal to all patients to learn some Iga nephropahty knowledge and pay attention to the original signs as early as possible. The most important is to find the effective treatment. Don’t wait till end stage.

With our life advance, people are easy to get serious disease due to pollution of water and air, or some gratuitous diseases like Iga nephropathy. Do you know what is Iga nephropathy?

Introduction of IgA nephropathy

Iga nephropathy is a kind of chronic glomerular nephritis which is featured with immunoglobulin A(Iga) deposition on mesangial region of glomeruli of our kidneys. Because with long time stay of Iga, our glomeruli can be inflammed, damaged and sclerosis,in which course the kidney can’t filtrate waste well in our blood. Surely this disease can also lead to kidney failure eventually.

Generally, Iga is common seen among children and young people whose age is from 16-35 and men is more than women. This disease has no symptoms at the early stage and it can prolong several years. That means, it develops slowly which is difficult to be detected by people.

Symptoms of Iga nephropathy

  1. Blood urine. Usually patients will get upper respiratory infection(URI), cold or other infections before Iga nephropathy occurs. Then after several hours,at least in 3 days, they will see blood in urine, not by microscope. However, you can also have blood urine after certain strenuous exercise. So it is necessary to make clear about the diagnosis.
  2. Occult blood. This is the most obvious sign of Iga nephropathy. Unlike blood urine, occult blood can happen without any inducement. Together with occult blood, you can also see protein in urine on lab test.
  3. Physical discomforts. Patients can have abdomen and back pain; throat pain; edema and high blood pressure after occult blood appear.
  4. Edema. With Iga nephropathy people often have edema on their eyelid or face in the morning and fade away in the afternoon. Furthermore, edema becomes serious after tiredness and palliative after having rest.

Can Iga Nephropathy Be Cured

Many patients wonder if Iga can be cured in the world. We all know that Iga nephropathy is one of kidney diseases. Once you are diagnosed by this disease, you need go to hospital for specialized treatment. While what kind of treatment is the best? Now we introduce some treatment for you.

1. Causes of Iga nephropathy

Iga can hurt patients to certain level. Some patients listen to some rumor or some advertisement and start treatment easily, finally they miss the treatment opportunity, even lost their life. Actually Iga is caused by our abnormal immunit. Our immune system is composed of the natural immune system and the standby system. When foreign material invades our body, the clearance ability to remove these foreign material of natural immune system reduced . It causes damage to the kidneys, leading to the development of kidney disease.

2. Symptoms of Iga nephropathy

Professor said that Iga nephropathy can get a good effect at the early stage. And the symptoms of this disease usually have following sides:

(1)Here is gross hematuria in patient’s urine.

(2)Light proteinuria but less urine

(3)High blood pressure

3.Common treatment for Iga nephropathy

The patients who have no obvious swelling, hypertension, hematuria, less proteinuria and non renal insufficiency can work on light work. While you need prevent respiratory tract infection, avoid overwork. Don’t use toxic medicine which will damage your kidneys.

4.Hormones, immunosuppressive therapy

This treatment is effective in short time, but people just want to refuse it due to the serious side effect. Some patient’s kidneys get further damage, even kidneys get shrink and rely on dialysis for survive. The treatment cost is also higher at this stage.

5. Chinese medicine treatment

We combine English medicine with Chinese medicine to repair kidneys cells and improve kidney function. Nowadays we get great achievement.

Can IgA Nephropathy Grade 4 with Biopsy Still Be Treated?

She is a patient from Uzbekistan, diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy, and she always depends on steroids, sometimes good, sometimes bad..the condition relapsed many times. I was diagnosed with IgA nephropathy grade 4 through renal puncture surgery. The treatment effect was not good. So she visited here for Chinese medicine treatment, then IgA nephropathy grade 4 really can not be treated?

There are more than 2 million nephrons in the kidney, and about 20 are removed by renal puncture, which is one in 100,000. How can this small proportion accurately represent the whole? There may be large errors or misdiagnosis.

Pathology has its limitations, and today, no test can accurately predict the final outcome of kidney disease.

To evaluate whether the nephropathy is serious or not and how serious it is, pathology checking is just one aspect, and a comprehensive evaluation should also be combined with blood, urine, and B-ultrasound. Pathology is a reference for evaluating the condition, not a final judgment. “Kidney puncture theory” is not desirable.

How can we judge the severity of kidney disease?

It should be combined with blood tests, urine tests, B-ultrasound, pathology, age, and other related organ functions.

In some patients with pathological grade 4 IgA nephropathy, renal function is normal. Moreover, after treatment with a system of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, urine protein was completely relieved, and kidney function remained normal after many years. The pathology is indeed serious, but can it be said that it is not saved? Absolutely not. This is not the same as “Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 4”. Stage-4 and grade-4 may be quite different. Even with IgA nephropathy grade-5, there are a few patients whose condition have not progressed for many years.

Other nephropathy is the same situation, say membranous nephropathy stage 3-4, severe mesangial hyperplasia, lupus type 3-6, type 2 membranous hyperplasia, etc., are more serious pathologies, but there are still some patients who have remained stable for years. Some patients have severe pathology, but kidney function kept stable; some patients have mild pathology, but later develop into renal failure and uremia, such cases are innumerable.

Therefore, we look at the severity of the disease, not just the present, but also how it will develop in the future. The most important thing is to see how the medication responds and how effective the treatment is. This is the most convincing way to predict the outcome of kidney disease.

IgA nephropathy level 4 with biopsy needs to be diagnosed and treated according to the condition, the degree of damage is clarified, and the treatment is based on syndrome differentiation.
